  Locally hosted by Newcastle Golden Spike Lion’s Club for Newcastle Elementary School students.  In commemoration of the adoption of the United States Flag and nationally recognized event of June 14 annually.
• March 22nd - Newcastle Easter Egg Hunt
  Hunt starts at 9:30 a.m. at Home on the Range.  Hosted by the Newcastle Golden Spike Lion’s Club.
• April 10,11,12 - Portuguese Hall Rummage Sale located at Portuguese Hall at 690 Taylor Road, Newcastle.
• April 14 - 6:30 p.m. - Newcastle Crime Prevention and Safety Night.  To be held at Newcastle Elementary School Gym.
• May 4th – Hot Rod Car Show Old Town Newcastle.  Hosted by the Newcastle Golden Spike Lion’s Club.
• May 10^th - Newcastle Firemen’s Breakfast
  6:00-11:00 Newcastle Elementary School
• May 18th -Celebration Day Sponsored by the Newcastle Community Association in concert with other local organizations.
• August 23^rd Street Dance/Spaghetti Feed.
  Held each year in Old Town Newcastle.  Sponsored by the Newcastle Golden Spike Lion’s Club.
• August 10th - Annual Community Asso. BBQ – Newcastle Community Association
• September 4-7th – Gold Country Fair
  Local Country Fair held annually at the Gold Country Fairgrounds in Auburn , CA
• November 22 & 23 – Mountain Mandarin Festival

MONTHLY – MAC (Newcastle/Ophir Municipal Advisory Committee) meets the 3^rd Thursday of each month at Ophir Elementary School .
